CRI (color rendering index)
CRI or "Color Rendering Index" means something like "color rendering index". It indicates how distorted the color of an object looks in the light of a lamp/luminaire. Logically, sunlight is used as a reference. The highest CRI value that can be achieved is 100, with almost or no distortion at all. See also: Ra. A good example of a poor color rendering index is the light in many department stores, where you can't tell a black from a dark blue.
