Lux (lx)
Lux (lx), derived from the Latin term for "light", measures the physical unit for the illuminance of a lamp.
The value thus indicates how much luminous flux from a light source falls on a surface. It is measured with the aid of a luxmeter in lm/m2.
For certain, mostly commercial areas, there are legal requirements for illuminance. You can find more details about this in our application areas.
